Airpro Oy is enhancing the airport experience with the launch of Self-Service Bag Drop (SSBD) for airline partners, starting with Jettime at Helsinki Airport. This new solution gives passengers more flexibility and control while helping airlines streamline operations.
Developed through close collaboration between Airpro, Jettime and SITA, the project involved a full-scale rollout—from investment and infrastructure to testing and successful deployment. With seamless integration into the Altea system and the Common Use Self Service (CUSS) kiosk application, airline partners can now move beyond traditional check-in counters with ease.
Jettime is the first airline to implement the new solution offered by Airpro, offering their passengers a faster and more convenient check-in experience.
Lena Zelander, Jettime's Ground Operations Manager, shares:
“Together, we have created a solution that offers our guests an even better and smoother service at Helsinki Airport. The extended availability of self-service bag drop, including the evening before departure, gives our guests more freedom and comfort. For Jettime, this is a smart investment that enhances our guest experience. Our partnership with Airpro has been smooth throughout the implementation.”
The new service enables partners and passengers:
• A smoother journey for passengers with less waiting and more flexibility
• Evening bag drop for early morning flights, offering added convenience
• Improved passenger flow
• Greater operational efficiency, especially during peak travel times
The foundation is now in place, and we’re ready to welcome more airline partners to join the journey.
