Our arrival service is congested, which slows down the return of bags left behind. At the moment, some European airports are experiencing baggage backlogs, which is causing congestion in the destination country (Helsinki-Vantaa airport).
When the bag arrives at the airport, the arrival service informs the passenger of its arrival, and when the bag leaves the airport, the passenger is informed.
Unfortunately, this situation means that many passengers have to have their bags brought to them afterwards, which also causes a backlog on the telephone in our arrivals department. We are constantly trying to clear the baggage queues, but at the moment the situation is exceptionally difficult. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will do our best to ease the congestion.
